This Selmer Reference 54 tenor saxophone with antiqued matt finish dates from 2005. The Selmer Reference 54 takes the design of the famous 'Mark VI' which was produced from 1954. With a modern layout it means side and palm keys are more accessible making the instrument easier to play.

This instrument has been maintained by a local professional woodwind technician under its previous ownership and is in excellent playing order. As can be seen from the photos there is some cosmetic wear to the finish but this does not detract from the sound which is strong with good projection. There is also a small ding in the bow which again is shown in the photos.

The saxophone is supplied with 2 mouthpieces - a Yamaha 4C and a Vandoren V16/T6 with ligature and mouthpiece cap. A Neotech sling is also included as well as the end stopper for the saxophone.  The instrument is supplied in a sturdy, oblong Selmer Paris case (zips are all in good working order).

The Selmer Reference 54 is an instrument that suits an intermediate to professional player and will adapt regardless of the level and style.
